Small shop but lots of choices!! Limited seating inside but there are some outside as well. Black Sesame anything here is amazing!! The black sesame latte hot was better than cold. You taste the real sesame flavor while the cold seems to be lost. The basque lava cake was more like a cheesecake. There was no flow of cream but it was smooth texture with each bite. The oolong flavor was coming out strong in flavor, you taste the tea and not just cream. Very good! Would come back to try the other flavors. Sesame lava cream crepe roll was cold, i thought it would warm. It's a sticky texture like mochi but not chewy. There's creme in between each layer. This is just okay.

Had the Osmanthus oolong lava cake and it was the perfect texture, not too sweet with good tea flavor. Paired with a white peach tea for an amazing after dinner stop in.

Small yet quaint bakery with just a counter and a little space to stand though there are a few seats outside. We ordered the yuzu cheesecake and the citrus from the yuzu balanced out the heaviness of the cheesecake perfectly. It was delicious, would definitely recommend!!

I expected a lot from this tiny place . And that's exactly what I got ! Fantastic pastries , mostly the osmanthus oolong lava cheesecake and the yuzu lemon one . Their tiramisu is arguably one of the best in the city . Not like many other pastry places they don't "almost freezing" their pastries so it's at this patisserie it's a room temperature as it should be . The service is great and friendly . Highly recommended!!!! Definitely a destination!!!!

A much needed dessert shop !! Some of the most unique and yummy desert can be found here. And everything I've gotten so far has been a success! Definitely recommend the crepe roll, the egg tarts and pudding. Service is super quick and friendly and the outdoor dining really helps to enjoy the yummy desserts!

I came by to pick up some desserts to share. Got the pork floss taro dessert as well as the black sesame cake; it's honestly quite expensive even by NY standards, so definitely be ready for it. All the desserts are pretty strongly Asian inspired which I appreciate! The mochi taro dessert is super unique. It's barely sweet, and almost has more savory notes from the pork floss. The taro flavor is super strong because there's a really thick layer of it, and it provides a super creamy texture. I do wish there was a bit less mochi, but it did add a great chew. Overall, awesome dessert; for me personally though, I do wish it was a bit sweeter. The black sesame cake was also great. The cream was light and very strongly black sesame flavor, and the cake itself was light and airy. Again, not very sweet at all. Overall, definitely a steeper price, but great, unique desserts. Give it a try!

Stumbled upon the cutest dessert spot around St. Mark's Place called Ando! They serve the most creative Asian desserts, and as a black sesame fanatic, I couldn't resist the black sesame crepe lava roll. It's pure magic - light and airy crepe wrapped around a rich, creamy filling with a molten black sesame center that oozes with every bite. The nutty, slightly sweet flavor is simply divine. But that's not all - you can try so many other goodies like their affogato coffee latte, which is a perfect blend of espresso and creamy goodness, or their decadent Basque lava cake. I also got their black sesame latte, which I had to add some sweetener to since it wasn't sweet enough for my major sweet tooth, but it still complemented all the treats perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy, with a small area and some outside seating. The barista was super nice, making the experience even more enjoyable. While it's definitely a little pricey and their servings are a bit smaller than they look, I found the portions to be filling and perfect for sharing between two people. Ando has truly elevated the dessert game with their innovative creations. Highly recommend for any dessert lover!

My experience was overall very good. I had high expectations coming here since it's been on my list for a while now. Boozy tiramisu - soooooo good. you can actually taste and feel the alcohol in it, while also tasting the tiramisu part of it. it was DELICIOUS. But I think there was some plastic in my piece; maybe like a plastic wrap? I did not say anything about it though. Otherwise, it was very good. probably my favorite of all we tried. Black sesame lava cream roll - very very sesame-y, not too sweet, and super melt-in-your-mouth soft. I was pleasantly surprised. really enjoyed this one! probably my 2nd fav. Earl grey custard tarts - could definitely tell the earl grey was in there. it was good but too small. I wish they would make it attest double the size. you do get 2 tarts per order but I felt like it was more of the pastry than the earl grey custard itself. Pistachio raspberry roll - very good, not too sweet at all, and creamy. I honestly couldn't taste the pistachio in it. I liked this one but it was probably my least fav just because it was nothing that special that I was hoping for. delicious but the others just wow'd me better. Other than everything being good, it was also very expensive (we paid about $65 for 4 deserts) and the staff wasn't that nice. We were a group of 6 people sharing 4 desserts so we asked for a few more forks and the staff was not trying to give us more forks... So they're a bit stingy on their utensils I guess. But despite this, it's probably my new fav dessert spot in nyc. I will definitely come here when I am craving dessert and want to treat myself.
